About the position

The Assistant Manager, Brand Marketing at KnitWell Group plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of omni-channel marketing strategies that support both the ecommerce business and the physical store fleet. This position is integral to the brand's marketing initiatives, requiring strong collaboration with various teams including creative, visual, public relations, merchandising, social media, digital, and store communications. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for executing brand marketing plans, ensuring that all initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented across channels. In this role, the Assistant Manager will lead store marketing efforts, implementing localized strategies that include events, in-mall marketing, and brand awareness tactics to support store openings and relocations. The individual will manage the project brief development and hand-off process, ensuring that all brand initiatives are executed seamlessly. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will contribute to daily messaging by incorporating seasonal initiatives and promotional strategies into all marketing assets, and partner with visual teams to ensure that in-store marketing aligns with larger brand objectives. The Assistant Manager will also support philanthropic partnerships by executing charitable campaigns and ensuring that credit card and loyalty program communications are integrated into overall planning. A key aspect of this role is the ability to actively seek out data points to fuel new initiatives and assist in preparing program hindsight reports to inform future strategies. This position requires a natural problem-solver who can perform under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work effectively with cross-functional teams. Overall, this role is designed for a self-starter with outstanding communication skills and a keen awareness of the competitive landscape in retail, fashion, branding, and social media.

Responsibilities

  • Execute brand marketing plans in collaboration with creative, visual, public relations, merchandising, social, digital, and store communications teams.
  • Lead store marketing efforts, implementing localized strategies including events, in-mall marketing, and brand awareness tactics to support store openings and relocations.
  • Manage project brief development and hand-off process, ensuring all brand initiatives are communicated and executed effectively.
  • Incorporate seasonal initiatives and promotional strategy into all marketing assets for daily messaging.
  • Partner with visual teams to ensure signage and store marketing needs support larger brand objectives.
  • Support yearly strategy for philanthropic partnerships and liaise with partners to execute charitable campaigns.
  • Ensure integration of credit card and loyalty program communication into overall planning and daily messaging.
  • Actively seek out data points to fuel new initiatives and assist in preparing program hindsight reports to inform future strategies.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years prior work experience within the retail environment.
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Media Communication or related field.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Natural problem-solver with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task: multiple seasons, initiatives and priorities at the same time.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and speaks their mind.
  • Finger on the pulse of the competitive landscape (retail, fashion, branding, social media, etc.).
