Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) is seeking an Assistant Manager for Business Intelligence & Data Science, specifically focusing on Lending Analytics. The primary purpose of this role is to lead a dedicated team in providing comprehensive credit risk analytics and business insights across various lending portfolios, including credit cards, auto loans, personal loans, real estate, student loans, and business loans. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring performance metrics and credit risk exposure, identifying emerging risks, and presenting analytical findings to inform strategic decision-making processes. In this position, the Assistant Manager will engage in a variety of assignments that encompass business analysis, front office requests, dashboard creation, reporting, automation, and model development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leading teams, experience with one or more lending products, and hands-on expertise with various data science tools. Effective communication and analytical skills, along with strong leadership qualities, are essential for success in this role. The Assistant Manager will assist in managing and leading business intelligence development, which includes gathering requirements, designing solutions, implementing production processes, and maintaining ongoing operations. The role also involves overseeing project management for multiple reporting and dashboard development initiatives, as well as ad-hoc analyses and data projects. The Assistant Manager will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that analytic outputs align with business needs and contribute to optimizing operational performance by analyzing current trends and forecasting future performance to support strategic initiatives. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will collaborate with the Information Systems Department (ISD) to design and build the necessary technology infrastructure for data-driven analytic solutions. This includes partnering with internal business partners and external vendors to ensure successful data integration and engineering, as well as maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and NFCU policies. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational gaps, developing reports and solutions to enhance system controls, and participating in organization-wide project teams to monitor project milestones and ensure timely completion.
