About the position

In partnership with the Store Manager, you will model and lead a customer-first selling culture through effective routines, visual brand standards, and engagement behaviors. Your role will involve assessing and analyzing business trends utilizing all available reporting to problem-solve business opportunities and take appropriate action. You will consistently exemplify, maintain, and foster the culture and values of World Market, ensuring that every team member contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment. As a leader, you will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performance, customer-focused team that aligns with our company values through training, recognition, and performance management. You will also support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability. Daily business tasks and duties will be executed as assigned by and in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will manage overall store logistic processes that support company initiatives and productivity goals. This includes utilizing all company tools and training resources to ensure the team follows logistic processes, visual execution standards, and stocking routines. You will manage the visual publication calendar and delivery schedule to plan and execute all logistics workload, partnering with the Assistant Manager of Operations or Assistant Store Manager to schedule for workload. Maintaining stockroom standards and organization that supports efficiency and safety standards will also be a key part of your role. You will educate the team on merchandising standards and visual presentation skills, validate replenishment and recovery routines, and organize, plan, and execute all signage and graphics in partnership with the entire management team. Additionally, you will validate and maintain all inventory management and data integrity routines, ensuring that the store operates at its best.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture is preferred.
  • Excellent customer experience behaviors and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Sound decision-making skills that align with strategic initiatives.
  • Effective delegation and validation skills.
  • Ability to execute daily priorities efficiently.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Minimum Age 21 years.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
