About the position

The position involves providing leadership in partnership with the Store Manager to achieve sales and profitability goals while fostering the culture and values of World Market. The role emphasizes driving a service and selling culture, maintaining a branded store experience, and developing a high-performance team through effective coaching and training.

Responsibilities

  • Address and resolve customer issues and concerns promptly.
  • Utilize company selling and training resources to educate the team on product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Ensure execution of all omnichannel initiatives, including BOPUS, STS, and AOS.
  • Validate and ensure execution of customer loyalty initiatives and assess results to drive improvements.
  • Assist the Store Manager with MyHR responsibilities and ensure proper staffing on the sales floor.
  • Organize, plan, and execute all signage and graphics in partnership with the management team.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire top talent aligned with company values.
  • Ensure a consistent orientation and onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Deploy and manage company outreach initiatives, including designers and decorators.
  • Educate the team on product knowledge and visual presentation skills, validating execution of visual certification routines.
  • Manage the Visual Publication Calendar for stores under 4.5M Annual Sales Volume.
  • Analyze business trends at the department level and take appropriate actions based on sales results.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze information to execute daily priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
