About the position

As an Assistant Manager at Old Navy, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for the store and leading the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Your primary responsibility will be to drive profitable sales growth through effective management of customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development. You will collaborate closely with the General Manager to execute store strategies and achieve performance goals, while also fostering a high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop highly productive Brand Associate and Expert teams.
  • Own assigned area of responsibility and implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
  • Perform Service Leader duties and ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
  • Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
  • Promote community involvement and leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
  • Ensure all compliance standards are met.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of retail management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Passion for retail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driven by metrics to deliver results and meet business goals.
  • Ability to lead and inspire others through coaching and mentoring.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including holidays, evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to utilize retail technology and maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom, and office.
