About the position

Hyder Property Management Professionals is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Property Manager to oversee an affordable family housing community. The role involves managing operations in accordance with policies set by the Owner, Governing Agency, Management Agent, and Fair Housing Laws. The Assistant Property Manager will ensure compliance with regulations while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive community environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the operations of an affordable family housing community.
• Manage and direct operations in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Review prospective residents' rental applications for eligibility.
• Conduct entry interviews with new tenants and complete lease agreements.
• Provide residents with interim and annual recertification paperwork and conduct interviews.
• Collect rent in a timely manner and issue receipts.
• Make daily bank deposits and perform physical inspections of the property.
• Complete semi-annual unit inspections and report transactions to the Corporate Office.
• Supervise maintenance and other personnel, including performance evaluations.
• Handle the purchasing process for the community and maintain good resident relations.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in property management, specifically in Affordable Housing.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and maintain a superior apartment community.
• Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
• Proficiency in Yardi and IDOC software.
