About the position

The Assistant Manager for Facilities at CSU Spur Campus is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff and tenant requests, and ensuring efficient workflow within the facilities. This role includes financial management, sustainability reporting, and emergency preparedness, contributing to the overall mission of Colorado State University in promoting education and research in sustainability and health-related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily building operations and staff interactions at CSU Spur.
  • Assist with the management and development of property personnel.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and cleaning issues and requests.
  • Disperse communications regarding events, operations, and sustainability efforts.
  • Handle maintenance calls and tenant/vendor issues.
  • Distribute and follow up on work orders to appropriate staff.
  • Assist General Manager with oversight of building operations contracts and vendors.
  • Manage building access card requests and guest space reservations.
  • Conduct emergency evacuation training and drills.
  • Assist with annual budget preparations and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of three years of commercial or institutional real estate or property management experience.
  • Experience in budget preparation, CAM reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building operations including energy and water efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least five years of commercial or institutional real estate or property management experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with LEED, Fitwell, WELL Building, or other sustainability ratings.
