Team strong.” is more than just a saying; it embodies our way of life and is key to our success. We pride ourselves on our diverse, family-like atmosphere, which is one of our most valued qualities. As an Assistant Manager in General Assembly, you will manage and oversee process engineers in an automobile manufacturing environment. You will apply your knowledge of materials and engineering theory and methods to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems or related processes. In this role, you will lead, train, mentor, encourage, and support process engineers while ensuring compliance with HMMA policies and procedures. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with team members and management across departmental boundaries is essential. You will incorporate new methods and processes to drive continuous improvements in vehicle quality and production utilization. Additionally, you will manage special projects for new tooling and equipment to support production, initiate and complete reports tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and establish plans for new model activities, including equipment installation and quality check documentation. Troubleshooting new and existing product problems, determining root causes of failures, and recommending countermeasures will also be part of your responsibilities. You will control costs within established budgets and administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Meeting all other requirements as assigned is also expected.
