About the position

The Assistant Manager, Global Communications at Balmain Beauty plays a pivotal role in articulating the brand's vision through effective storytelling and collaboration with various stakeholders, including regional teams, corporate departments, and the Balmain Fashion House. This position is integral to the Global Communications team, providing essential support in the development and dissemination of press and influencer marketing materials. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Director of Global Communications to establish a comprehensive brand launch strategy, ensuring that all communications align with the brand's identity and objectives. This includes drafting media pitches, press releases, and toolkits, as well as managing the distribution of PR materials to ensure consistency across markets. In addition to brand communications, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with VIPs, influencers, and media outlets. This involves creating a global influencer database that reflects the brand's identity and engaging with beauty and fashion talents to enhance brand visibility. The role also includes managing regional responsibilities, such as coordinating monthly PR calls with Regional Marketing Managers, reviewing proposed influencer lists, and responding to inquiries from global markets. The Assistant Manager will also oversee monthly reporting, pulling data from various regions to assess the effectiveness of PR initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PR, events, and influencer marketing, with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. They should be a self-starter, capable of driving projects forward while maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Work with Global Communications Director to create brand launch strategy and rollout.
  • Draft media pitches, press releases, toolkits, and other communications for the brand.
  • Support dissemination of PR materials to markets and ensure consistency in execution and reporting.
  • Manage monthly PR calls with Regional Marketing Managers and follow up on action items.
  • Partner with international regions to obtain detailed planning calendars for PR programs.
  • Review proposed influencer lists for seeding and events, ensuring alignment with brand image.
  • Liaise with PR Managers from affiliates and respond to daily requests from global markets.
  • Help develop PR and influencer kit concepts and manage production.
  • Coordinate and oversee press reporting by pulling data from regions and PR agency.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in PR, Events, Influencer Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Undergraduate degree and luxury experience preferred.
  • Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ownership of programs and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible team player with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
