About the position

As an Assistant Store Manager at Extra Space Storage, you will play a crucial role in our operations, contributing to a diverse team that values excellent company culture. Your responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, guiding new customers through rental processes, and maintaining the facilities. You will also have the chance to work independently on daily tasks while collaborating with team members. This role may require running errands for the facility and traveling to other store locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Meet sales goals through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
• Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements.
• Maintain facilities by sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs, etc.
• Work independently on daily tasks as well as cooperate with team members.
• Run errands for the facility and travel to other store locations as required.

Requirements

• 1+ year of customer-facing employment experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Current, valid driver's license with access to a reliable personal vehicle (except in NYC).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or property management roles.
