About the position

The Assistant Manager - Hospitality at Sheetz is responsible for ensuring a top-tier customer experience by overseeing customer service procedures and managing day-to-day operations in the absence of the Store Manager. This role emphasizes leadership, customer focus, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of store staff.
  • Handle customer questions, complaints, and concerns effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs among staff.
  • Oversee timely customer transactions and maintain cleanliness standards in the store.
  • Check end-of-day tasks to ensure they are completed.
  • Manage inventory by ensuring proper placement, pricing, and refilling of merchandise.
  • Lead profit management processes including shrink indicators and stock audits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail, or convenience operation preferred.
  • Successful completion of certification testing as needed.
  • Valid ServSafe certification or any other legally required certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two-year degree in a business-related field preferred.
