About the position

As an Assistant Manager of Hospitality at Sheetz, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive a best-in-class experience every time they visit our stores. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of top-tier customer service procedures across all areas of the store, ensuring that our Hospitality and Total Customer Focus standards are consistently met. In this role, you will manage various aspects of the store's operations, including inventory management, preparation, promotion, production, service, and sales. You will also step up as a leader in the absence of the Store Manager, providing support in recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of your team. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining compliance with Sheetz policies and procedures, as well as addressing customer questions, complaints, and concerns effectively. Additionally, you will oversee the cleanliness and organization of the store, ensuring that hospitality standards are always upheld. You will be responsible for monitoring end-of-day tasks, managing profit indicators, and ensuring that merchandise is properly placed and stocked. Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of store staff.
  • Handle customer questions, complaints, and concerns effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs among staff.
  • Oversee timely customer transactions and maintain cleanliness standards in the store.
  • Check in on end-of-day tasks to ensure they are completed.
  • Manage inventory by ensuring proper placement, pricing, and re-filling of merchandise.
  • Lead profit management processes, including shrink indicators and stock audits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two-year degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • One year of experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail, or convenience operation preferred.
  • Successful completion of certification testing as needed.
  • ServeSafe certification or any other legally required certification.
