About the position

The Assistant Manager - Hospitality at Sheetz is responsible for ensuring a top-tier customer service experience while overseeing daily operations in the absence of the Store Manager. This role focuses on maintaining hospitality standards, managing inventory, and leading a team to meet customer needs effectively. Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Handle customer questions, complaints, and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Oversee timely customer transactions and cleanliness standards in the store.
  • Check end-of-day tasks to ensure they are completed.
  • Manage inventory through proper placement, pricing, and re-filling of merchandise.
  • Lead profit management processes including shrink indicators and stock audits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail, or convenience operation preferred.
  • Successful completion of certification testing as needed.
  • Valid ServSafe certification or any other legally required certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two-year degree in a business-related field preferred.
