About the position
As an Assistant Merchandise and Inventory Manager at Nordstrom, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and motivating your team while driving business success. This position involves collaborating with the department manager to recruit, train, and develop employees, ensuring a positive customer experience through effective use of technology and maintaining a well-organized department. You will also be responsible for accurate inventory management and supporting various store operations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the department manager to recruit, hire, and train employees.
- Develop and motivate team members to achieve business goals.
- Educate employees on technology tools to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain a regular floor presence to engage with customers and team members.
- Ensure the department is well-stocked and visually appealing through re-merchandising.
- Support accurate inventory management and educate staff on shrinkage and unit variance.
- Assist with store operations, including setting up special events and organizing back rooms.
Requirements
