About the position

The Assistant Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by supporting inventory control, stock management, and web fulfillment processes. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to driving store results and ensuring that departments meet their shrink and unit variance goals. The Assistant Inventory Manager will work closely with the Inventory Manager to maintain accurate inventory management processes, which are essential for achieving profitable store results. A typical day involves supporting Buy Online, Pick-up in Store and Web fulfillment orders, ensuring that all orders are filled correctly to meet customer expectations. The Assistant Inventory Manager will also conduct training and educational meetings for employees regarding shrinkage and unit variance, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Assistant Inventory Manager will partner with the Inventory Manager and other store partners to achieve sales and service goals through effective fulfillment strategies. Additionally, this position requires working alongside Department Managers and the Store Manager to support various store events, ensuring a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in their current role, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with store partners. Excellent communication and team-building skills are essential, along with strong organizational abilities, delegation skills, and the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but the focus is on the candidate's ability to contribute positively to the team and the overall store performance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive store results by helping to ensure departments achieve shrink and unit variance goals
  • Assist the inventory manager in ensuring inventory management processes are accurate, leading to profitable store results
  • Support Buy Online, Pick-up in Store and Web fulfillment orders by ensuring orders are properly filled to meet customer expectations
  • Conduct training and educational meetings for employees relating to shrinkage and unit variance, as necessary
  • Collaborate with inventory manager and other store partners to ensure sales and service goals are achieved through Buy Online, Pick-up in Store and Web fulfillment
  • Partner with Department Managers and the Store Manager to support store events
