About the position

The Assistant Manager, IT Product (MuleSoft Infrastructure) at HCSC is responsible for managing the MuleSoft platform infrastructure, which includes strategic planning, software installation, maintenance, upgrades, capacity planning, administration, and technical support. This role involves translating business requirements into an IT product roadmap, ensuring the delivery of integrated solutions, and collaborating with various teams to develop and implement new features.

Responsibilities

  • Manage MuleSoft platform infrastructure including strategic planning and software installation.
  • Translate business requirements into an IT product/services roadmap for major product areas.
  • Ensure overall delivery of integrated, technically sound solutions for assigned products.
  • Execute the vision, strategy, and IT product roadmap.
  • Work with business analysts to develop requirements documents and use cases for new features.
  • Coordinate with DevOps Portfolio Release Lead to integrate planned releases into the product release schedule.
  • Monitor the status of development projects supporting new features in collaboration with Portfolio Delivery Lead and project managers.
  • Facilitate development and testing progress against project milestones with delivery leads.
  • Collaborate with other IT product managers to develop new features and ensure support for existing products.
  • Manage stable, mature products and applications with limited business criticality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree and 4 years Information Technology experience.
  • 1 year management experience.
  • Experience in application development platforms and/or languages.
  • Experience in cloud computing (SaaS / PaaS).
  • Experience in DevOps and/or continuous deployment and/or integration processes and tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, RallyDev, Jira).
  • Experience in integration technologies (Tibco/Informatica/CAS).
  • Experience in iterative, agile and/or scrum development.
  • Knowledge of product-specific application architecture.
  • Experience in solution architecture.
  • Ability to tie together solutions across systems.
  • Application domain knowledge.
  • Program and/or project management experience.
  • Ability to influence and prioritize decisions.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage change.
  • Creative thinking skills.
  • Leadership skills to effectively lead teams and people.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Experience managing 4-5 team members.
  • Experience in installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technologies like MuleSoft, WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, IIB, Tibco, etc.
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Bladelogic, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
  • Knowledge of messaging/streaming technologies (IBM MQ, Active MQ, Rabbit MQ).
  • Experience in infrastructure architecture.
  • Strong experience in administrating middleware technologies (Application Servers, ESB products).
  • Strong experience in managing medium to large infrastructure of Application Servers and ESB products.
