About the position

The Assistant Manager at Park at Mt Zion plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in the daily operations of a 193-unit apartment community. This position focuses on enhancing resident relations, ensuring financial goals are met, and maintaining organized property management practices. The role is integral to fostering a sense of community and connectivity among residents while addressing the affordable housing crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on past due rent collections
  • Maintain organized bookkeeping
  • Maintain stable occupancy and meet budgeted financial goals
  • Build strong resident relations and provide excellent customer service
  • Assist the Community Manager to train, direct, motivate, and assist site personnel
  • Establish positive relationships within the community
  • Be on-call as scheduled by management

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years previous property management experience preferred
  • Section 8, Section 42, and/or Market Rate experience preferred
  • Yardi software experience preferred
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
