About the position

The Assistant Manager candidate will manage multiple client relationships ensuring superior client service with their client service team members. Deliverables include fund administration services provided to private equity funds such as reviewing accounting records, schedules, and reports, preparing accounting records, schedules, and reports as needed, reviewing checks and wires, reviewing form 1099, and coordinating deliverables with client and internal teams. The role also involves career development and talent management of staff, daily client and team member interaction, supervision, and training of staff, ensuring that best practices are used by the fund accounting team, looking for process improvements, assisting with special projects as needed, and handling internal responsibilities such as filing, status reports, and time tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple client relationships ensuring superior client service.
  • Review accounting records, schedules, and reports.
  • Prepare accounting records, schedules, and reports as needed.
  • Review checks and wires.
  • Review form 1099.
  • Coordinate deliverables with client and internal teams.
  • Career development and talent management of staff.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Accounting required - CPA or CPA candidate a plus.
  • Experience in portfolio/investment and partnership accounting is required.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, named ranges).
  • Investran experience a plus.
  • Able to multitask and perform tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Experience delegating, training, and supervising staff.
  • Experience managing client relationships.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
