About the position
The Assistant Manager, RSR at Amazon.com Services LLC is responsible for leading a team in a fast-paced environment to ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met. This in-person role requires flexibility to work 10-hour overnight shifts and involves engaging with team members to maintain high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction. The position plays a crucial role in the operations workflow, ensuring that customer orders are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate team members during shifts.
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
- Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources to meet business objectives.
- Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Work in varying noise levels and temperatures, including outdoor loading areas and refrigerated environments.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and overnight shifts.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent diploma.
- 6+ months of leadership experience in a retail, distribution, or similar environment.
- At least 1 year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Availability to work 40 hours/week and overtime as required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience managing a team of 10+ employees or 1+ year of experience directly managing others.
- Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen).
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
