About the position

The Assistant Manager in Rural Super Rural (RSR) Operations at Amazon is responsible for leading a team to ensure the highest levels of safety, quality, and performance in the delivery process. This role involves mentoring team members, managing customer delivery promises, and collaborating with various support teams to meet business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage your team to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards.
• Ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the correct location.
• Support, mentor, and motivate team members.
• Collaborate with support teams to meet business objectives.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent diploma.
• 6+ months of leadership experience in a retail, distribution, or similar environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week, including overtime as required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing a team of 10+ employees or 1+ year of experience directly managing others.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
