The Assistant Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the oil change shop while also performing technician duties. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy customer service, leading a team, and are eager to learn the skills necessary to advance to a Shop Manager position. Responsibilities

• Perform all technician duties including changing oil, replacing filters, and other light maintenance services.
• Assist customers in selecting oil types and services.
• Process payments for services performed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathroom.
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor.
• Check in with customers to ensure a great experience before they leave the shop.
• Ensure proper operation of the store in the absence of the Shop Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory.
• Act as a role model to other employees.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit safely.
• Ability to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
• Strong knowledge of oils and services is important.
