About the position

The Assistant Manager, Talent Operations at Gap is responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing customer experience through effective team management and operational excellence. This role involves collaborating with the General Manager to implement store strategies, recruit and develop staff, and ensure adherence to company standards, all while fostering a customer-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer centric mindset.
  • Recruit, hire and develop highly productive Brand Associate and Expert teams.
  • Own assigned area of responsibility.
  • Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
  • Perform Service Leader duties.
  • Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures.
  • Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
  • Promote community involvement.
  • Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
  • Ensure all compliance standards are met.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of retail management experience.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Passion for retail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Driven by metrics to deliver results and meet business goals.
  • Ability to lead and inspire others through coaching and mentoring.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts.
  • Ability to utilize retail technology.
  • Physical ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom, and office, and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to travel as required.
