About the position

As an Assistant Manager at SONIC Drive-In, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring quality food service in a clean and efficient environment. Your role is crucial in creating a positive guest experience and leading a team to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and develop team members to provide excellent service.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Communicate the importance of tasks to employees and celebrate team successes.
  • Set clear expectations and provide continuous feedback to team members.
  • Create a positive and fun work atmosphere during shifts.
  • Manage food, labor, and guest service effectively.
  • Maintain and enforce safety and sanitation standards.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management experience required.
  • General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills and basic math, reading, and computer skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously once given directions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
