About the position

The SONIC Drive-In Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. This position focuses on delivering quality food and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment for guests, ultimately enhancing their dining experience at SONIC Drive-In.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the General Manager in managing daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Hiring, training, supervising, managing, directing, and developing staff to provide excellent service.
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction to encourage repeat customers.
  • Communicating the importance of tasks to employees to help them understand their roles.
  • Celebrating team successes and providing coaching for performance improvement.
  • Setting clear expectations and giving continuous feedback during shifts.
  • Creating a positive and fun work atmosphere.
  • Managing key operational areas including food and paper supplies, labor, and guest service.
  • Maintaining and enforcing safety and sanitation standards.
  • Complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
