About the position

The Assistant General Manager at Culver's plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager to maximize sales volume and profit margins while ensuring customer satisfaction. This position involves overseeing team development, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety protocols. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing daily operations, training staff, and fostering a positive work environment to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the general manager in increasing sales and net profit.
  • Prepare and review daily and weekly operations reports.
  • Create team schedules and daily deployment sheets based on forecasts and labor budgets.
  • Ensure proper portion control for all menu items.
  • Train and demonstrate food safety practices using Culver's Food Safety Plan.
  • Monitor and coach team on safety best practices.
  • Recruit, hire, and terminate team members as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to team members and managers.
  • Conduct quarterly performance appraisals of team members.
  • Facilitate team meetings to ensure consistency in service standards.
  • Maintain excellence in guest relations and follow up on guest feedback.
  • Run shifts effectively to ensure quality product and prompt service.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Perform daily restaurant tours to monitor operations.
  • Check and respond to emails during shifts.
  • Supervise food inventory orders and ensure accurate completion of reports.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three years of experience in a supervisory position.
  • Certified from a national food safety program.
  • College graduate with a degree in hotel and restaurant management or equivalent experience preferred.
