About the position

The Assistant Manager at Elders Ace Hardware of Robbinsville LLC plays a crucial role in leading the store's operations and setting a positive company culture. This position involves managing daily activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and developing team members to achieve optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and promote Elder's mission, vision, values, and standards throughout the store.
  • Recruit, onboard, train and develop associates, monitor performance, and recommend changes.
  • Coach associates to optimal performance.
  • Assist with scheduling and payroll to meet labor standards.
  • Order and maintain inventory to ensure adequate product availability.
  • Manage inventory shrink and implement measures to minimize shrinkage.
  • Lead associates in receiving and accurately displaying merchandise after delivery.
  • Perform shelf-conditioning to keep merchandise clean, neat, and attractive.
  • Serve as supervisor on duty at least 1-2 days per week.
  • Perform store opening or closing duties.
  • Carry out housekeeping duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years retail experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Work experience in a hardware or home improvement store is a big plus.
