About the position

Citi Trends is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are ready to take the next step in their retail career. After successfully completing a two-week training period, you will be actively involved in the store's operations, assisting the Store Manager in overseeing daily activities. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will take charge, leading the store and ensuring that all operational goals are met. This role is pivotal in maintaining the store's performance and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supervising employees, maintaining proper inventory controls, and facilitating inventory transactions while adhering to compliance standards for shrink control. You will monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and will direct and supervise employees engaged in various tasks, including sales, inventory-taking, and cash reconciliation. Additionally, you will ensure that all staff members adhere to Citi Trends, Inc. policies and procedures, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily operations and supervision of employees.
• Maintain proper inventory controls, facilitate inventory transactions, and maintain compliance standards for shrink control.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service.
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
• Ensure adherence of staff members to all Citi Trends, Inc. policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• 2-4 years of retail experience as an Assistant Manager
• 3-5 years of retail experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
