About the position

The Assistant Manager position at TNT Self Storage in San Dimas is a full-time role focused on the efficient operation of the self-storage facility. The role involves maximizing sales and occupancy, providing excellent customer service, and performing various administrative and maintenance tasks. The position requires weekend shifts and some flexibility for additional days as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Increase income and occupancy levels by effectively using daily sales plan, marketing, and promotions to rent storage units.
  • Maintain sound financial controls, make collection calls, provide accurate admin/financial reporting, and assist in auction preparation.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and professional telephone skills, including assessing and resolving customer issues and complaints.
  • Visually inspect the property daily and ensure the site and grounds are neat, clean, and safe while facilitating light maintenance and securing tenants' property with daily lock checks.
  • Efficiently navigate computer operations and security systems.
  • Effectively communicate issues, concerns, and operational reporting to management and site staff.

Requirements

  • Prior work experience in self-storage, property management, retail, or restaurant industry is preferred but not required.
  • Office, sales, communication, office technology, and customer service skills are mandatory.
  • Must pass a drug screen, financial and criminal background check.
