About the position

The Assistant Restaurant Manager at Mucho Gusto Group is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service, and maintaining overall efficiency in alignment with the restaurant's mission. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule staff members to maintain adequate coverage and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance team performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and a strong work ethic.
  • Resolve employee conflicts and address disciplinary issues as needed.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized service.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints, and take appropriate action to address concerns.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasting revenue, and controlling costs.
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue, such as promoting special events and upselling.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to develop and update menu offerings based on customer preferences and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Monitor local competition and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations and industry trends.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze financial reports.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including POS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
