About the position

The Assistant Manager at Ann Taylor is responsible for providing exceptional client service and supporting the Store Manager in overseeing the operational functions of the store. This role includes acting as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager, handling client service issues, and performing various operational and transactional functions to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service and support the Store Manager in operational functions.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Handle client service issues and perform operational and transactional functions.
• Issue approvals for desk transactions and manage store opening and closing procedures.
• Drive revenue by managing the client experience and motivating associates.
• Coach Associates on client interactions and performance to maximize productivity.
• Utilize reports to make effective merchandising decisions and maintain visual standards.
• Ensure optimal coverage and productivity in all areas of the store through appropriate scheduling.
• Complete daily tasks to ensure the store meets all ANN INC. standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months Sales Associate experience with ANN INC. or equivalent experience in retail.
• Part-time or full-time managerial experience preferred.
• Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and techniques.
