About the position

The Assistant Manager (AM) is responsible for leading the operations of a Tim Hortons restaurant, focusing on profitability, guest service, people development, and overall operations management. The AM supports the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in managing daily operations and driving key performance outcomes, while directly overseeing a team of 20-45 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory costs and perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory inspections.
  • Place and receive inventory truck orders.
  • Monitor and maintain a list of all restaurant assets.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance of restaurant facilities and equipment is completed according to company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to cash control and security procedures.
  • Motivate and direct team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate and friendly service.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to Shift Coordinators and Team Members to enhance team capabilities.
  • Direct the restaurant team towards efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products.
  • Uphold operational and brand standards.
  • Perform duties of Hourly Shift Coordinator when necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of college preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience; management experience preferred.
  • Some understanding of P&L interpretation and management to influence profitability.
