About the position

The Assistant Manager at Papa John's is responsible for overseeing all functions of the restaurant to ensure high-quality products and exceptional customer service, ultimately driving profitability. This role requires a self-sufficient leader who can make quality decisions and instill pride and accountability in team members while managing operations in compliance with company policies and local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assume responsibility for all functions of the restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to customer concerns or issues.
  • Solicit customer feedback and use it to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty.
  • Train and promote quality standards to team members using available tools.
  • Recruit customer-focused team members and maintain adequate staffing levels according to projected sales.
  • Conduct timely and effective performance reviews and document performance issues.
  • Coach and develop team members to ensure a quality and customer-focused atmosphere.
  • Manage sales goals against budget and prior year by providing prompt customer service.
  • Seek additional sales through creative local restaurant marketing and community presence.
  • Manage profit goals against budget and ensure controllable costs stay within budget.
  • Plan and manage adequate inventory levels using the restaurant's computerized inventory system.
  • Ensure the restaurant meets safety and security standards and oversee maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
  • Two years restaurant management or supervision experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license under state laws.

  • Experience in cash management and planning and organization.
