About the position

The Assistant Manager at Moe's Southwest Grill is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring quality food preparation and guest service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing the restaurant team, adhering to company policies, and achieving financial goals through effective leadership and operational management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Ensure quality food preparation and guest service.
  • Interview and train employees for restaurant operations.
  • Manage food flow, ordering, receiving, and storage.
  • Coach restaurant team on operational standards and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Maximize profitability by controlling costs of sales, labor, and payroll.
  • Perform administrative duties including financial reports.
  • Maintain a fun and fast-paced atmosphere for employees and guests.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and brand standards.
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and cleanliness.
  • Ensure guest and employee safety to reduce injuries or accidents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-year restaurant management experience is required.
  • Must be ServSafe certified.
  • Associate Degree in business or related field preferred.
