About the position

The Assistant Manager at Sonic Drive-In will support the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for guests. This role involves cross-training in various positions, managing shifts, and overseeing restaurant operations to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Managing a shift of 8-15 employees efficiently in compliance with labor laws
• Training new team members on proper procedures and policies
• Maintaining accurate records of employee performance and attendance
• Handling guest complaints in a professional manner
• Developing strategies to increase sales and improve efficiency
• Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
• Overseeing the opening and closing of the restaurant
• Ensuring compliance with legal, health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ year in foodservice
• At least 2 years experience in Management
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with inventory, cost controls, and cash handling
• Ability to multi-task
• A completed background check is required for all management positions
• Serve Safe Certification is a plus
