About the position

The Assistant Store Manager at Jushi will oversee daily operations at the retail level, ensuring effective staffing, training, scheduling, and compliance adherence. This role is crucial for maintaining a positive culture and delivering an exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cannabis and its various forms, effects, and quality metrics.
  • Ensure accuracy with all cash handling and abide by city and state regulations.
  • Maintain suitable inventory levels and perform daily inventory audits.
  • Receive deliveries, build purchase orders, and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and assist with store scheduling.
  • Complete daily and weekly tasks assigned by the Store Manager(s) and Regional Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Attract customers through effective display ideas and merchandising.
  • Handle employee or customer concerns and complaints diplomatically.
  • Evaluate competition by visiting competing stores and gathering information.
  • Pre-screen, interview, and develop a passionate team about medical cannabis.
  • Train store staff and build depth on the bench for company initiatives.
  • Lead by example and mentor the team through training and performance reviews.
  • Follow established policies and execute all company programs for customer service and compliance.
  • Provide support with employee initiatives and team building activities.
  • Assist with various events and report issues to the Store Manager(s).
  • Work closely with the Store Manager(s) to evaluate team performance and sales.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years combined experience in dispensary, call center, retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with retail POS systems.
  • High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, and mathematical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or study emphasis in biology, medicine, horticulture, agriculture, business, management, or hospitality.
