About the position

The Assistant Manager at JRI Hospitality plays a vital role in the Leadership Team of the restaurant, focusing on coaching and developing team members to ensure success. This position involves managing daily operations, motivating staff, building guest relationships, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, guest count, profitability, and safety. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for training team members, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring exceptional hospitality and food quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure success.
• Coach and develop team members for improved performance.
• Build relationships with guests to enhance their dining experience.
• Achieve objectives via key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales and guest count.
• Train team members to ensure smooth shift operations with a focus on speed of service and safety.
• Recruit and retain key team members through effective leadership and recognition.
• Set the tone for the restaurant to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older (18+ in CA).
• Prior restaurant and/or hospitality experience is required.
• Strong hospitality focus and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build and mentor a successful team.
• Self-starter with a professional appearance and manners.
• Availability to work various hours, including days, nights, and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in operations, management, inventory, scheduling, and guest relations is preferred but not required.
