About the position

The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing gym operations, ensuring a positive member experience and financial success for the club. This role involves leading a team, providing training and development, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing gym operations.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.
  • Schedule team members and ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Lead by example and maintain accountability for direct reports.
  • Resolve team member issues or concerns.
  • Handle front desk activities including member check-ins and sign-ups.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
  • Manage marketing efforts and ensure team awareness of promotions.
  • Authorize expenditures and refunds, and make daily bank deposits.
  • Prepare HR-related forms and send to Corporate HR Team.
  • Track statistics and reports on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Customer service background preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • Upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions.
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
