About the position

Jersey Mike's Subs is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their vibrant team. This role focuses on maintaining a clean and efficient restaurant environment while providing exceptional customer service. The Assistant Manager will lead a small team, manage daily operations, and ensure that the restaurant upholds the company's commitment to quality and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization
• Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere
• Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience
• Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the store
• Bake bread and perform all food preparation tasks
• Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people
• Create employee schedules and place inventory orders
• Fill in for the Manager as needed
• Assist in employee training and development
• Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions

Requirements

• 1 year of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience preferred
• Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer
• Must have reliable transportation
• Excellent menu and product knowledge
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to improve self and skill sets
• Effective communication skills with guests
