About the position
The Assistant Shop Manager at Take 5 Oil Change is responsible for overseeing shop operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of technicians. This role involves both managerial duties and hands-on technical work, providing a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy customer service and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Check in with customers before they leave the shop to ensure a great experience.
- Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in their absence.
- Manage the shop floor, ensuring employees are in their designated roles and that all vehicles are properly serviced.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the shop.
- Assist with counting and adjusting inventory levels.
- Train and develop subordinate employees, serving as a role model.
- Perform technician duties such as changing oil, inspecting fluids, and processing payments.
Requirements
- Mid-level experience in a customer service or management role.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
