About the position

The Assistant Manager (Assistant Unit Director) at Bojangles is responsible for maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing shifts, supervising food preparation, handling inventory, and ensuring that staff scheduling meets business needs, all while fostering a safe and positive environment for both employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Team: Take on all responsibilities of a Shift Manager, with additional oversight of staff performance, guest interactions, and daily operations.
• Ensure Quality & Safety: Supervise food preparation to guarantee that Bojangles food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
• Assist in Staffing: Support the recruitment process, from interviewing potential hires to onboarding and training.
• Manage Inventory: Coordinate and place food orders to maintain stock levels and avoid shortages.
• Ensure Compliance: Uphold all labor laws, Bojangles policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Create Schedules: Plan and manage work schedules to match business demand, ensuring optimal staffing at all times.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role within restaurant operations.
• Skills: Strong communication and people management skills; knowledge of computer systems is a plus.
