About the position

The Assistant - Merchandising & Sales at Cobalt plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by ensuring customer needs are met and the production process runs smoothly. This position involves providing administrative and operational support, acting as a communication link between customers and internal teams, and requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain key documents, such as sales reports, order tracking, and customer updates, on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Assist in tracking customer T&As, purchase orders, confirmations, and development deadlines to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate the sending and receiving of packages for presentations or samples through DHL/UPS/FedEx.
  • Support customer communication and follow up on requests, assisting the sales team with order management and updates.
  • Assist in preparing for customer meetings by organizing relevant documents and managing calendars.
  • Pull POs, tech packs, and other necessary documents from customer systems as required.
  • Help the team track and resolve customer issues by communicating with internal teams and following up until resolution.
  • Prepare seasonal documents for each customer, providing information to the design and merchandising teams to assist with collection development.
  • Stay up to date with store visits and retail news, reporting on any significant marketplace trends.
  • Take notes during customer meetings, recap key points, and share action items with both internal and external teams.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail or sales support role preferred.
  • Strong interest in fashion, retail, and market trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Google Drive.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities efficiently.
