About the position
The Assistant Middle School Volleyball Coach is responsible for instructing athletes in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The role emphasizes character development, self-discipline, and self-confidence in student athletes while promoting a positive sports environment. The coach will also engage in continuous professional development through clinics and observations.
Responsibilities
- Instruct athletes in fundamental skills and strategies for volleyball.
- Organize and supervise the sports program effectively.
- Teach and demonstrate skill development and advanced techniques.
- Assist in coordinating off-season training programs.
- Collaborate with local recreation programs to enhance participation.
- Serve as a positive role model for student athletes.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
Requirements
- Coaching endorsement or certification is required.
- Thorough knowledge of athletic policies and regulations.
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of volleyball.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow administrative protocols.
