About the position

The Assistant Montessori Teacher position at LakeCreek Montessori International School is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with children in a bilingual environment. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in implementing Montessori methods and daily lesson plans, while fostering a safe and engaging learning atmosphere for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. Candidates should be open to learning about Montessori practices, and bilingualism in Mandarin or other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities
• Provide support to children, including behavior management techniques
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
• Assist with mealtimes, nap times, and other daily routines
• Supervise a group of children on the playground and for indoor play
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to make materials and plan classroom events
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young children
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
• Willingness to learn
