Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel and coordinate daily department operations.
• Promote a team concept and reflect the mission of the Providence Health System in all activities.
• Serve as a role model for nurses, physicians, and department support staff.
• Mentor under the Clinical Manager/Director and pursue management and leadership training.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by the Clinical Manager/Director.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
• 3 years of clinical experience.
• 2 years of recent clinical supervisory or charge nurse experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (must obtain within 30 months of hire if not already held).
• Certification within area of expertise or practice (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.) upon hire.
