About the position

The Assistant Nutrition Program Manager at Bright Road Recovery plays a crucial role in supporting patients in residential eating disorder treatment. This position focuses on providing nutritional guidance, managing food service operations, and leading a team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for recovery. The ideal candidate is passionate about nutrition, has experience in food service and management, and is dedicated to helping patients achieve their recovery goals.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train and develop nutrition assistant (diet tech) staff.
  • Ensure detailed and timely documentation, including staff scheduling, projects, and procedure compliance.
  • Lead and direct supported meals, including plating and monitoring meal completion.
  • Support dietetics staff in managing meal completion and behavior redirection.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Organize, develop and implement food service tasks for safety and efficiency.
  • Manage tasks such as recipe development, meal planning, grocery shopping, and kitchen inventory.
  • Communicate important information between Registered Dietitians and nutrition staff.
  • Participate in care coordination and multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Provide milieu support to help patients abstain from eating disorder behaviors.

Requirements

  • Completion or in-progress of Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or Foodservice.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with management and/or team leadership.
  • Current or in-progress ServSafe certification.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Google platform applications.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with EHR (electronic health record) applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in residential eating disorder treatment.
  • Proficiency in web-based applications.
  • Creative cooking skills.
