About the position

HII- Mission Technologies is seeking a full-time Command Operations Center Analyst in Sumter, SC. This position is critical in providing 24/7 support to the staff director and lead operations analyst, ensuring the accomplishment of varied and numerous day-to-day analytical tasks. The analyst will consolidate and provide input into operational briefings or briefing books for the Commander of 9AF AFCENT and senior staff, keeping them informed of ongoing theater operations or issues through detailed briefings and briefing binders. The role involves providing instructions for operating existing and future command and control equipment in the Command Operations Center (COC). This includes analyzing and formatting data on the digital video recording system (DVR) and creating digitized computer files suitable for sending to senior leadership to enhance notification of key Area of Responsibility (AOR) events. The analyst will also design, implement, and administer comprehensive database solutions for use by the 9AF AFCENT Operations Center, assisting with the management of the 9AF AFCENT Task Management Tool (TMT). Additionally, the analyst will assist in managing the 9AF AFCENT knowledge environment, ensuring that information exchange and collaborative situations (such as SharePoint websites and file management systems) are effectively maintained. This includes tracking, storing, and maintaining historical and current operational files and related media while maintaining a firm grasp on information flow requirements, including mission, operations, and commander's intent. The analyst will serve as a coordinating element for the Crisis Action Team and assist the Request for Information (RFI) Manager in support of the 9AF AFCENT staff. They will also maintain and update consolidated senior staff phone rosters and email distribution lists on the 9AF AFCENT networks, and track the status of RFIs and short notice taskers on behalf of the Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities

  • Track, store, and maintain historical and current operational files and related media.

  • Track status of RFIs and short notice taskers on behalf of the Chief of Staff.

Requirements

  • 0 years experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications/e-mail systems or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a NAF or component command staff or higher level or other service equivalent.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
