About the position

The Assistant Operations Manager at Action Behavior Centers (ABC) plays a crucial role in leading the overall operations of a facility, supporting the lead Operator. This position focuses on creating a supportive work environment, ensuring compliance with safety and financial standards, and enhancing the lives of children with autism and their families. The role emphasizes metrics tracking, community engagement, and team leadership, with a strong commitment to professional development and career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall operations of an ABC facility in support of the lead Operator.
  • Cultivate a supportive work environment for the team.
  • Oversee financial, safety, and compliance aspects of the location.
  • Track monthly KPIs, clinic budgets, and team performance.
  • Establish strong connections with families and provide guidance during onboarding.
  • Attract, engage, and retain 25-50 teammates delivering clinical excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, corrective actions, and development plans.
  • Plan monthly and quarterly team events and celebrations.
  • Partner with clinic admissions, clinical directors, and department leaders on operational quality.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of people management experience leading a large team.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred, or considerable people management experience required.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) for working with children with developmental delays and their families.
  • Strong professional communication skills among department leaders.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and evaluate consequences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practices.
