About the position
The Assistant Operations Manager at American Dining Creations is responsible for supervising daily meal services and catering orders, ensuring high standards of food preparation and customer service. This role involves staff development, managing labor and work schedules, and assisting with inventory and POS procedures. The position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily meal service and catering orders.
- Assist with food preparation and serving when needed.
- Assist with weekly inventory management.
- Knowledge of online catering order systems and POS opening and closing procedures.
- Manage staff development, labor, and work schedules.
- Provide superior customer service and interact daily with customers and clients.
- Assist with special projects or events as assigned.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Culinary or Hospitality Degree from an accredited college, technical school, or culinary association (preferred).
- 2+ years' experience in a similar culinary supervisor position in retail, manufacturing, or education dining services.
- Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively and enthusiastically in a fast-paced environment.
