About the position

The Assistant Operations Manager at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is responsible for providing leadership to moving crews and managing daily operational aspects of the business. This role involves working closely with customers, vendors, and staff to achieve operational goals and ensure high standards of service. The position offers opportunities for career advancement and requires a commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Determine staffing requirements and facilitate the hiring process.
• Coordinate employee scheduling, truck assignments, and dispatch of move crew.
• Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory.
• Lead mover/driver training; responsible for team development and motivation.
• Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all Department Of Transportation regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidelines.
• Serve as the 'on-call' contact outside of normal business hours.
• Complete performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction; oversee damage resolution process.
• Perform position functions up to six days of a week, with a flexible range of hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
• Driver's license with good driving record.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens.
• Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to multi-task.
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Commitment to customer service and the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK core values.
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting/carrying 100 lbs. or more.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

• Junk Removal experience preferred but not required.
• Moving experience is not required, but preferred.
