About the position

The Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) at UFC Gym is responsible for assisting in the management of club operations, ensuring a high level of customer service, and supporting the growth of club dues. The AOM engages with members, resolves concerns, and oversees various operational aspects to enhance the member experience. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining club facilities and promoting a friendly environment while achieving revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve member concerns and complaints professionally.
  • Monitor club facilities for appearance and equipment issues.
  • Assist in providing direction to janitorial services.
  • Instill teamwork across club functions to improve member and team member experience.
  • Drive club efforts in achieving revenue goals in Dues, Retail, and Juice Bar.
  • Responsible for bill collecting on members' EFT dues and making follow-up calls for past due accounts.
  • Work with the Operations Manager in planning and implementing promotions and merchandising.
  • Ensure optimal merchandising and display of retail items according to company policy.
  • Conduct compliance checks by monitoring club systems and employee performance.
  • Maintain efficient back office operations and prepare daily paperwork for administration.
  • Make daily banking deposits and order supplies as needed.
  • Supervise point-of-sales operations and file revenue reports.
  • Prepare inventory reports and manage inventory control activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in health club, retail, hospitality, or food service industry.
  • Current CPR/AED certification and state certification as required.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with multiple phone lines preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone etiquette.

  • Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management.
